The family-only event will continue on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm. According to the organisers, the exhibition brings over 200 exhibitors of the finest brands and more than 300,000 visitors together every year. Spread over six halls and the entire complex of the Expo Centre, this year’s event will have the added attraction of Faces & Places, a photographic exhibition displaying works by Tapu Javeri, Owais Yakub, Imran Awan, Shah Murad and Zain Mankani.

Artists from Around the World: Susie Gadea, A Prominent Peruvian Artist

Susie Gadea was born in Lima, Peru where she attended San Silvestre School. Susie studied graphic design at the Brisbane School of Art in Queensland, Australia where she lived for almost a decade before settling in the Dominican Republic. There she worked many years as a successful communications consultant heading my design studio. Amisdt all this, she obtained a degree in psychology, much drawned to the transpersonal school which seemed to borrow timeless metaphysical concepts. Painting has been Susie's life-long passion. She started publicly sharing her work in 2001, since then she has exhibited solo 7 times and participated in over a dozen group shows. SADEQUAIN ‘THREE SITTING FIGURES’ ESTIMATED TO SELL FOR£23,000-28,000 AT BONHAMS

A painting by Sadequain (Pakistan, 1937-1987) titled ‘Three sitting figures’, is estimated to sell for £23,000-28,000 at Bonhams Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern & South Asian Art on 2nd June 2010. Sadequain was one of the first modern artists from the Indian Subcontinent to achieve international fame and at the relatively early age of thirty-one. Whilst living in Paris in the 1960s he was chosen to illustrate the novel, The Stranger by Albert Camus, a significant achievement for the artist. He was also awarded the 'Laureate Biennale de Paris' for his painting titled The Last Supper.
