Argentine artist Maria Martha Pichel painting exhibition in Islamabad

The Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Islamabad is holding another exhibition of Argentine painting in Pakistan, where argentine artist Maria Martha Pichel exposed more than 40 paintings.

In Pichel’s painting, human figure predominates in all its forms with visible expressionist features. She debuts with her first exhibition in 1982 at the Soudan Gallery, the following year she starts working as a draftswoman at the Favaloro Foundation,

Zubaida Tariq, fondly known as Zubaida Apa, passed away late on Thursday night after a brief illness. Her funeral prayers were offered at Sultan Masjid in Karachi's Defence Housing Authority area. Zubaida Apa was famous for her culinary skills and housekeeping advice (totkas). A household name, she hosted several widely viewed culinary shows and wrote cookbooks.
