MONA NAQSH'S Exhibition opens at Unicorn Gallery

On Saturday, 23 April 2011 at 5:30pm, Unicorn Gallery will host an exhibition of paintings by Mona Naqsh, Pakistan's foremost painter, daughter of legendary Master artist, Jamil Naqsh. The exhibition titled 'Silent Sermon' (to let silence speak) will feature a wide variety of Mona Naqsh paintings and drawings of floral still-life inspired from Turkish art, and various international influences.

The exhibition will also serve as a retrospective, as a book on the life of the artist 'Mona' will be launched, written by Seemah Niaz with articles contributed by Marjorie Husain, Mohsin Jaffri, Salwat Ali and many others. The book is a spectacular, over 200 pages read featuring stunning compositions of Mona Naqsh from her first exhibition in the 80s' to present day and her evolution as an artist. The exhibition and book on the artist extensively features the artist's career spanning over twenty-five years.

Art Books Exhibition AT UNICORN GALLERY

Introduces its first Art Books Exhibition with the launch of Art historian/scholar, Dr. Akbar Naqvi’s Image and Identity (second edition) reading, book signing by the author on Monday 04, April 2011, at 6 pm. The art books exhibition will commence from 04-to-06 April 2011, 12 pm to 8 pm.
